This one-of-a-kind necklace features a unique take on the traditional mala. The necklace has 108 wooden beads. A purple yarn is hand-knotted between each bead. The tassel is purple to match the final beads. There are two threads: a stranded thread and a few strings of the yarn the beads are strung with. The beads come from a local Buddhist temple here in Myanmar, called Mahamuni Temple.
*Just so you know: This mala has a larger purple knot between beads number 54 and 55
108 8mm beads (+ guru bead)
Extra-long length at 44″
Malas are perfect for meditation and spiritual practices, but can also be worn as an accessory. They hold their significance when worn outside of spiritual practices.
